Deal alert: Points and miles travel deals for April 2025

This week, you can earn Alaska Mileage Plan MVP elite status by taking one round-trip flight to Australia or New Zealand. Hilton is offering a promotion on buying points that can save you hundreds on your next stay, and you can now earn and burn Marriott Bonvoy points at Sonder hotels and apartments.

Plus, there’s a highest-ever welcome offer on one of our favorite travel cards, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees): 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points after you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening. That’s worth $2,050 by our April 2025 valuations.

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on certain dates as well as the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. Below are some of the best offers we found for April.

Score double points on flights to Italy

Whether you’re interested in the country’s history, beaches, dining scene or all the above, a trip to Italy could be doubly rewarding this spring with ITA Airways.

Earn double ITA Airways Volare points on one or more one-way or round-trip flights sold and operated by ITA Airways from Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington and Boston to Rome.

Earn bonus miles when you shop online

Airline shopping portals are an easy way to earn extra miles with your favorite frequent flyer program, and a handful of them are offering mystery bonuses on your next purchase. Sign in to each one to reveal your offer.

For example, we’ve seen 500 bonus miles when you spend $100 — that’s up to 5 miles per dollar, on top of the rewards you’d normally earn through the portal and on the credit card you use to make the purchase.

American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping is running a mystery bonus through April 14.
United MileagePlus Shopping also has a mystery bonus going through April 14.
Alaska Mileage Plan Shopping’s mystery bonus runs through April 18.

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays, ways to earn extra points and deals at various properties. Here are some April deals to consider when booking your next stay.

Earn double Hilton points on every stay in April

Hilton loyalists, this one’s for you. You can double your points on Hilton stays this month, helping you get to your next free stay twice as fast.

Earn double Hilton Honors points on every stay at any hotel or resort within the Hilton portfolio, with no limit to the number of bonus points you can earn.
Register, book and complete your stay(s) by April 30.

Earn 5,000 Marriott points for sports betting

Thanks to the new partnership between Marriott and MGM Resorts, sports betting fans can get up to 5,000 Marriott Bonvoy points by making a $10 bet through the BetMGM app. That’s like buying points for 0.2 cents each, which is a steal compared to our April 2025 valuation of 0.7 cents apiece for Marriott points.

Earn 3,000 bonus Marriott points when you set up a BetMGM Rewards account, place your first bet of at least $10 and link your Marriott Bonvoy account.
Earn an additional 2,000 Marriott points if you sign up before April 14.

Card issuers sometimes offer deals and discounts for certain cardholders on everything from airfare to dining. Here are some of the offers we’ve rounded up this week. Remember that you must activate these offers on your card and use your enrolled card to make the purchase to earn bonus rewards.

Targeted Amex Offer at Hilton

Dreaming of sun, surf and sand? This Amex Offer, which we found on The Platinum Card® from American Express, could save you up to 20% at beachy Hilton locales.

Earn a one-time $200 statement credit when you spend $1,000 in one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at participating Hilton properties in Mexico and the Caribbean by June 30.

Targeted Amex Offer at Hilton

If independent hotels are more your speed, this Amex Offer could save you 8% on Hotels.com purchases this spring and summer. We spotted it on the American Express® Gold Card.

Earn 8% back as a statement credit (up to $100 maximum in total statement credits) after you make one or more purchases of prepaid hotel bookings (“pay now”) online at hotels.com/amex.
This offer ends July 7.

Targeted Chase Offer at Crowne Plaza

This offer, which we found on the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, could save you some cash on your next Crowne Plaza by IHG stay. Since you’ll need to make the payment directly with the hotel, you’ll still earn IHG points and elite night credits.

Earn 10% cash back on your Crowne Plaza stay (up to a $62 cash back maximum) when you spend $100 or more by May 31.

Targeted Chase Offer at Turo

Turo is a car-sharing service that could be described as the Airbnb of car rentals — and you can now earn United Airlines miles on Turo rentals. If you use Turo or would like to try it, this offer on the Chase Freedom Unlimited® (see rates and fees) could save you up to 20%.

Earn $30 cash back when you make a purchase of $150 or more at Turo, including taxes and after any discounts, by May 23.

Ongoing travel deals

In addition to these new offers, many others from previous weeks are still available:

Earn 3,000 bonus Aeroplan points on a one-way flight and 6,000 bonus points on a round-trip flight when you fly between a U.S. airport and a Canadian airport. Register and book by April 13, then travel by Dec. 15.
Get a points rebate when you redeem Aeroplan points for hotels and car rentals through Air Canada’s booking platform: 10,000 points back when you redeem 40,000 or more points on a stay or rental and 25,000 points back when you redeem at least 100,000 points. If you hold an Aeroplan® Credit Card, you’ll get an additional 5,000 points back. Register and book by April 13, then complete travel by Sept. 30.
Earn 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points and one bonus elite night credit for each eligible paid night you stay at participating properties booked directly through Marriott — with no limit to how much you can earn. Register through April 14 for stays through April 28.
Earn up to 3,500 bonus nonqualifying ITA Airways Volare points when you fly at least two routes with Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines or Brussels Airlines; earn 1,000 bonus points for two routes to domestic or European destinations and/or 2,500 bonus points for two routes to intercontinental destinations. Earn double AAdvantage miles on eligible vacation packages booked through American Airlines Vacations. Register by April 19, and you’ll earn bonus miles on eligible travel through Sept. 30.
Earn up to 7,000 bonus points total at participating Radisson Rewards properties: 500 points for your first stay, 3,000 points for your second stay and 3,500 points for your third stay. Register for this promotion, then book and stay by April 24.
Earn 1,000 Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles miles on your next stay at any hotel or resort within the Hilton portfolio, in addition to the Hilton Honors points you’d normally earn. Register and book by April 30, then complete your stay by June 30.
Earn 5,000 bonus IHG One Rewards points for joining the program and completing your first stay. You must register and complete your first stay within 21 days of joining. You have until April 30 to register and stay.
Earn double Marriott Bonvoy points on paid Marriott Homes & Villas stays of three or more nights. Register and book by May 4. The offer applies to stays between May 1 and Sept. 30.
Receive a $50 Best Western gift card when you stay two nights between now and May 11 at any Best Western hotel in the U.S., Canada or the Caribbean. You can use this promotion up to two times for a maximum of two $50 gift cards per member. Gift cards will expire Aug. 3.
Earn 2,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points per night, up to a maximum of 10,000 bonus points, when you stay at one of six New Orleans properties. Book with promo code “S2449” and complete your stay by May 15.
Earn triple IHG One Rewards points on every eligible paid stay in Germany. Register and book directly by May 31, then complete your stay(s) by July 6.
Earn 777 bonus World of Hyatt points per eligible night, up to 10 nights total, at 20 participating casino hotels and resorts worldwide. Register first, then stay between April 10 and June 9.
Earn 20% bonus Accor Live Limitless points on qualifying bookings you make through the app by June 30. Download the app.
Earn up to 1,500 bonus HawaiianMiles on car rentals at participating Avis and Budget locations in the U.S. when you add your HawaiianMiles number to your reservation at booking and complete your rental by July 31. Earn double Accor Live Limitless points on stays at participating properties in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean, Panama and Brazil. Activate this offer and book by July 31, and you’ll earn bonus points on stays through Sept. 12.

Additionally, many stand-alone Amex and Chase offers are still available across a variety of credit cards. Keep in mind that these offers are targeted. You need to activate them prior to making an eligible purchase to receive cash back, bonus points or miles.

Targeted Chase Offers

Earn 10% cash back on your Best Western stay, up to a $32 cash-back maximum, when you spend $100 or more on a single purchase directly with the merchant at domestic properties of Best Western, Best Western Plus, Best Western Premier, Vib, Glo, Aiden and Executive Residency.
