How to find and book TPG’s deal of the day
We usually recommend starting your search with the Seats.aero tool. However, Delta’s best prices to Australia and New Zealand weren’t showing up for us on Seats.aero, so you’re better off searching month by month with Delta’s price calendar.
Delta has nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Brisbane for only 20,000 miles plus $33 in economy. That’s a great price for a nearly 15-hour flight, but you can save even more if you hold the right Delta credit card. The TakeOff 15 discount for cardholders brings the price down to only 17,000 miles plus $33 one-way.
With cash rates for this flight starting at $441, you’ll get a value of around 2.6 cents per mile — considerably higher than TPG’s December 2025 valuation of 1.25 cents per Delta mile.
We also found nonstop flights to other airports in Australia and New Zealand for about 10,000 more miles:
- LAX to MEL for 30,000 miles (25,500 for cardholders) plus $35 one-way
- LAX to AKL for 32,000 miles (27,200 for cardholders) plus $42 one-way
- LAX to SYD for 33,000 miles (28,000 for cardholders) plus $35 one-way
