Nashville, known as the home of country music and hot chicken, will also soon be home to a new carrier.

Semiprivate air carrier JSX plans to launch year-round flights from Nashville International Airport (BNA) to Westchester County Airport (HPN) and Dallas Love Field (DAL). It’ll also launch seasonal service to Florida’s Destin Executive Airport (DSI). All three routes begin flying June 22.

“Nashville is a natural fit for the seamless, elevated experience JSX brings to air travel,” JSX CEO Alex Wilcox said in a statement.

JSX said its presence in Nashville will give travelers in the area an option that allows them to avoid “the woes of commercial air travel and congested freeways.” The carrier will fly from Nashville to Westchester — almost 40 miles away from New York City — twice a day, seven days a week. Fares start at $279 one-way.

Flights to Dallas will also operate twice a day, seven days a week; fares start at $289 one-way.

JSX will fly from Nashville to Destin once daily on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Sept. 4.

The announcement comes as JSX has expanded significantly during the past year. Just last week, the carrier said it’s expanding its service in Austin with a new route to Las Vegas; it’s also increasing its presence in Westchester County, adding flights to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, and Portland, Maine, along with Nashville.

JSX differs from other carriers by operating out of private jet terminals. This allows passengers to arrive at the airport shortly before departure instead of scrambling to reach the airport two hours in advance. JSX also operates spacious Embraer jets that can only seat up to 30 people and have no overhead bin space, giving the aircraft a true first-class feel.
